Here we go....

We are so excited!! We have finally told everyone in the family that we are adopting. Everyone is so happy for us. I knew they would be.

After we thought about, prayed about, and talked about, we have settled on a plan. We are going to adopt through All God's Children International and their Taiwan program. Here is the deal...

They have a Taiwan program opening (hopefully) around the first part of next year. This will be a birth mother program so we won't be able to specify if we want a boy or a girl. We have filled out a pre-application but we can't submit an official application until the program opens. We also can't get started on our homestudy and other things that have expiration dates.

So what can we do? Well after all this debating on where to go and what to do we can't do much. We can finish our adoption education and we can get some things done around the house to prepare for the homestudy. Right now we are starting a remodel on a bathroom and soon we will move on to other projects. Having to wait for the program to open is a good thing...I guess. This way our house will be completely homestudy ready and we can move as quickly as possible when the agency gives us the ok.

When October arrives I usually think "Oh no Christmas will be here before I know it. There is so much to do." Now I'm thinking it will never get here. This is where we are now and here we go....
